•the number of internet users in China reached 1.079 billion, anincrease of 11.09 million compared to December 2022. The internet penetrationrate reached 76.4%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points compared to December2022.
•the number of mobile internet users in China reached 1.076 billion, anincrease of 11.09 million compared to December 2022. The proportion of internetusers accessing the internet through mobile phones was 99.8%.
•the number of rural internet users in China reached 301 million,accounting for 27.9% of the total internet users. The number of urban internetusers reached 777 million, accounting for 72.1% of the total internet users.
•the proportion of internet users in China accessing the internetthrough mobile phones was 99.8%. The proportions of internet users accessing the internetthrough desktop computers, laptops, televisions, and tablets were 34.4%, 32.4%,26.8%, and 28.6% respectively.
•the number of instant messaging users in China reached 1.047 billion,an increase of 8.86 million compared to December 2022, accounting for 97.1% ofthe total internet users.
•the number of online video users in China was 1.044 billion, anincrease of 13.8 million compared to December 2022, accounting for 96.8% of thetotal internet users. Among them, the number of short video users was 1.026billion, an increase of 14.54 million compared to December 2022, accounting for95.2% of the total internet users.
•the number of online payment users in China reached 943 million, anincrease of 31.76 million compared to December 2022, accounting for 87.5% ofthe total internet users.
•the number of online shopping users in China reached 884 million, anincrease of 38.8 million compared to December 2022, accounting for 82.0% of thetotal internet users.
•the number of search engine users in China reached 841 million, anincrease of 39.63 million compared to December 2022, accounting for 78.0% ofthe total internet users.
•the number of online live streaming users in China reached 765 million,an increase of 14.74 million compared to December 2022, accounting for 71.0% ofthe total internet users.
•the number of online gaming users in China reached 550 million, anincrease of 28.06 million compared to December 2022, accounting for 51.0% ofthe total internet users.
